Direct Billing to Extended Health Plans

Our services are covered by most Extended Health Care Plans in BC. We also offer direct billing to many Extended Health Plans. If your insurance company doesn’t allow this, you can submit a claim for reimbursement by mail or online using your treatment receipt. Once your insurance company processes your claim, they will mail you a cheque or send a direct deposit to your bank account.

Some claims may require further processing. In this case, we can submit your claim to your insurance provider, but until confirmation of coverage, you will be responsible for paying the full balance of your treatment. Once your insurance provider confirms your coverage, we will call you and issue a refund over the phone. Refunds can be credited to a Visa or Mastercard but not debit cards.

Treatments for occupational injuries cannot be directly billed to WorkSafeBC and need to be submitted to your Extended Health Plan for reimbursement.

Please note that we do not accept WBC claims.

MSP

If you’re receiving Premium Assistance, your Medical Services Plan (MSP) will cover a portion of your treatment. Please note, we require a personal health number (Care Card) and birth date to confirm coverage. Your MSP covers 10 treatments up to $230 total and can be shared between massage therapy, acupuncture, and physiotherapy.

ICBC

ICBC may cover a portion of your visit if you’re approved by an ICBC adjuster. A doctor’s referral is usually required and we will call your ICBC adjuster to confirm coverage prior to treatment. Please note, we require a personal health number (Care Card), ICBC claim, and your adjuster’s name and contact information.

RCMP and DVA

If you’re employed by the RCMP or DVA, we will bill Blue Cross directly so no payment is required from you. Blue Cross will cover massage therapy, acupuncture, and physiotherapy treatments up to $4800 total.

Methods of Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Interac Debit, and cash. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express and cheques.

We are Open

Our focus is to keep you, and our RTT family of healthcare professionals and support staff, safe and healthy. In order to do this, we have made a number of very important changes to our usual way of doing business. Until the pandemic is over the following will be our “new normal”:

Certain practitioners will be back to work during this time and others will not be working in order to limit the amount of staff in the clinic. Please be patient if your therapist is not available right away. Please check our online booking platform to see when your favourite practitioner will be returning.

  • Verbal and written COVID-19 pre-screening questions will be done as a part of your appointment booking and at the time of your treatment.
  • Patients are asked to bring their own personal disposable mask or cloth face covering. Please wear them into the clinic and face-masks will be mandatory to get your treatments. All of our staff will be wearing them as well.
  • Patients are asked to come alone as our waiting rooms will have limited seating.
  • All patients will be required to wash their hands before and after treatment.
  • Please arrive a couple of minutes before your treatment time.
  • We have enhanced our sanitization/ disinfection protocols with COVID-19 rated cleaning products. All contact surfaces will be cleaned after use.

Touchless Payment System


In order to minimize the risk of spreading the COVID-19 virus, Royal Treatment Therapeutics will be implementing a Touchless Payment System.

As of August 1st, 2020, we will require ALL patients to have an email address and credit card on file.

Your information will be uploaded to a secure, encrypted JaneApp account. We will continue to directly bill your insurance company. Any outstanding balance will be charged to the card on your account. Your receipts will be emailed to you.
