With over eight years of experience, Uma has successfully helped patients overcome neck and back pain, frozen shoulder, ankle sprains, post fracture and joint replacement cases, osteoporosis, along with a variety of neurological conditions like stroke, concussion, diabetic neuropathy, vertigo, spinal cord injuries, and more.
Uma provides customized, one-on-one treatments with detailed assessments and will work with you to set achievable goals. From there, her appropriate counselling and home exercise programs ensure you get to where you want to be, both mentally and physically.
She completed her bachelor’s degree in 2006 and later pursued a master’s in neurosciences from India. Since then, Uma has taken several more courses to grow her skillset. She is trained in using Pilates for core stability, Kinesio taping for pain relief, Therabands for muscle strengthening, and vestibular equipment for balance and postural training. Uma has also taken several neurology workshops on motor control, sensory processing, neurodevelopment techniques (NDT), and gait analysis.
Her favourite hobby is travelling and meeting new people from around the world. She’s a fitness enthusiast too who believes staying physically active is key to the prevention and management of many diseases and illnesses.
Uma is fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
