Masako Doi
Registered Acupuncturist

Masako Doi is proud to provide her patients with a diverse array of healing solutions. She is a certified practitioner of shiatsu massage, acupuncture, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. A member of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of BC (CTCMA), Masako holds a diploma from the International College of Traditional Chinese Medicine of Vancouver (ICTCMV) and Canadian College of Shiatsu Therapy.

Born in Japan, Masako completed a bachelor’s in Fine Arts at the Kyoto University of Arts and Design. She came to Canada in 2004 and instantly fell in love with the landscape and people of the West Coast. While living on Salt Spring Island, Masako discovered the benefits of yoga and meditation. This sparked her journey to explore the divine connections between the mind and body. Her path eventually led her to Japanese shiatsu massage, which she has been practicing for the past six years.

Unfortunately, Masako developed debilitating neck pain caused by the physical nature of being a full-time shiatsu practitioner. She tried acupuncture and was amazed at how effective it was at curing her neck and shoulder pain. She knew she had to learn more about its healing abilities. Today, she is a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner, and uses acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to complement her shiatsu approach.

Masako loves using her skills to help people on their journey to better health and wellbeing. She also believes in a holistic approach to healing and enjoys sharing her experiences and vast knowledge with her patients. She is fluent in English and Japanese.

Masako is currently working alongside a midwife and using acupuncture to help patients with issues regarding pregnancy, fertility, irregular menstruation, polycystic ovary syndrome, and more. She is also a firm believer in continuing education and has recently completed courses on facial acupuncture and human anatomy.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, hiking, travelling, and creating culinary delights in the kitchen.

We are Open

Our focus is to keep you, and our RTT family of healthcare professionals and support staff, safe and healthy. In order to do this, we have made a number of very important changes to our usual way of doing business. Until the pandemic is over the following will be our “new normal”:

Certain practitioners will be back to work during this time and others will not be working in order to limit the amount of staff in the clinic. Please be patient if your therapist is not available right away. Please check our online booking platform to see when your favourite practitioner will be returning.

  • Verbal and written COVID-19 pre-screening questions will be done as a part of your appointment booking and at the time of your treatment.
  • Patients are asked to bring their own personal disposable mask or cloth face covering. Please wear them into the clinic and face-masks will be mandatory to get your treatments. All of our staff will be wearing them as well.
  • Patients are asked to come alone as our waiting rooms will have limited seating.
  • All patients will be required to wash their hands before and after treatment.
  • Please arrive a couple of minutes before your treatment time.
  • We have enhanced our sanitization/ disinfection protocols with COVID-19 rated cleaning products. All contact surfaces will be cleaned after use.
  • We will provide as much touch-less payment processing as possible. This will include direct billing to your insurers, tap card payments, or you can have your credit card automatically charged by setting it up on your secure account profile. This can be done on your on-line account profile or our administrative support team can assist you. NO CASH is being accepted.

Please know we are doing everything possible to provide you with a safe, relaxing, and problem-free experience. We look forward to seeing you soon.  If you have any questions, please email us at or by phone at 604-437-7777. You can also text us on your mobile by clicking the button below:
